Function Overview
GIC Sales Strategy & Intelligence team partners with our global General Mills sales teams in providing them with analytical horsepower and enable business continuity so they can focus on core activities Selling, driving distribution gains and optimizing merchandising plans to deliver sales volume targets. We enable customer, pricing & promotion strategies across the global markets through our focused capabilities of Sales Execution, Trade & Strategic Revenue Management and Category Management. Teams within function are aligned to the above focused capabilities for each of our markets and each team member specializes in domains of Advanced Analytics, Visual Insights & Planogramming.

Purpose of the role
The role will be responsible for partnering with the National Retail Organization (NRO) team in US markets. The ideal candidate will have a proven analytical track record with experience leveraging data to influence decision-making. Experience with customer databases, advanced Excel tools, Tableau, SQL and PowerPoint is a requirement.
The team members will independently build a seamless rapport with the point of contact overseas, address and initiate business requests, establish solutions through sophisticated reporting/tool building and superior presentations/visuals. The work will be sent with actionable analysis that showcases depth & breadth of business acumen.
The role includes capability development, driving standardization, NRO ROI analytics, in-store event analysis & recaps, establishing and tracking key KPIs relevant for the field teams via various data modelling & analytical techniques either independently or through collaboration of cross-team peers.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Business Analysis & Capability Development (70% of time)
o Master and own deliverables in the form of reports & presentations and send quality output in a timely manner with upgrades
o Design superlative templates, Develop and execute dashboards/ tools in a turn-key scalable format
o Own development of best-in-class reports, tools and customized shelving/assortment plans while finding synergies and avoiding redundancy
o Provide insights around category & specific consumer behavior derived from Panel/POS/Syndicated data sources. Respond to questions about data and deliver response in user friendly, visually represented format.
o Demonstrate an analytical bend of mind in all tasks/projects/collaborations
o Distill actionable insights from the data to offer client ready business recommendations by identifying meaningful customer indicators & trends
o Actively builds & proliferates National Retail Org. knowledge & principles
o Confidently present retail & store level dynamics to stakeholders and rationalize techniques and model fit
o Showcase thought leadership; look for ways to integrate better business solutions
o Anticipating customer needs based on business trends and previous projects
Continuous Improvement mindset to deliver Executional Excellence, and Project Management (20% of time)
o Ensure TAT is upheld via awareness on process requirements, meeting benchmark time estimates and through articulate expectation settings with the stakeholder
o Guarantee data quality and accuracy through thorough comprehension of request, accurate application of tools/platforms with an eye for detail and a robust data & logic check
o Eliminate Waste, Contribute to the Functional Productivity Goals
o CI Mindset: develop and drive a lens of continuous improvement for the projects, process & larger team
o Project Management: Juggle multiple projects incld. long range projects and own project scoping, to trouble shooting, collaborating, to timely communication/iterations with peers and stakeholders to high impact completion and presentation
o Mentoring & Training new hires and analysts to excel in their roles and outperform expectations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education Full time graduation from an accredited university
- Minimum Degree Requirements: Bachelors
- 3 to 4 years of relevant Business Reporting or Analytics experience in CPG (or related) industry.
- BI Tool Expertise: Advanced Excel, Tableau & SQL
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferred Degree Requirements: Masters
- Preferred Major Area of Study: Business Management, Statistics, Marketing, Retail or Economics
- Preferred years of related experience: 5 - 6 years of relevant Business Reporting and/or Analytics experience
