AM/DM Machining - Vendor upgradation

As an Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager, your primary responsibility will be to provide guidance to Engine, Transmission, and Proprietary parts vendors in order to enhance and standardize various processes and their controls to ensure sustained quality. This includes overseeing processes such as Casting (Aluminum & Ferrous), Forging (Hot, Warm & Cold), Machining (Turning, Milling, Grinding, etc.), and Assembly. You will be required to work on tasks such as conducting New model Engine, Transmission, and proprietary parts PFMEA, identifying weak areas at vendors and providing guidance on solutions through Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies like Why Why or 8D. Additionally, you will need to have a strong understanding of various processes to support vendors in areas such as Milling, Grinding, Induction Hardening, Surface Hardening, Heat Treatment, assembly operations, as well as Jig Fixture & receiving Gauges setup. Moreover, you should possess the ability to establish Capable Process (SPC) for critical parameters, set up processes with necessary automation and inspection tools like Auto Inspection, Poka Yoke, have knowledge of GD&T, and be able to verify parts through First Principle. Regular discussions and review meetings with vendor top management will also be part of your responsibilities, along with handling Quality Management Systems such as ISO, IATF. In terms of competencies and skills, you are expected to have a basic knowledge and hands-on experience of Engine, Transmission, and Proprietary Parts, be familiar with the development of these parts and have awareness of development systems like APQP, PPAP, Peak Volume Trials, etc. An essential skill will be the ability to identify gaps in Fixtures, Gauges & Dies. Furthermore, having knowledge and experience in QMS systems such as ISO, IATF is crucial. Additional skills that would be beneficial for this role include good analytical and data compilation abilities, effective presentation and communication skills, active participation in theme-based Quality improvement activities, and a strong teamwork ethic.,
