Position Summary

Oversee the daily operations of warehouse activities, includes the direct management of staff, dealing with the receipt, storage, and timely dispatch of goods. Ensuring workplace health and safety requirements are met as well as possibly managing budgets and maintaining statistics and reporting.

Also optimising the overall supply chain performance by promoting process improvements that maximize productivity and reduce costs, while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the operations of the warehouse, coordinate the internal movement of goods, and ensure that inventory is accurately tracked and stored.
• Internal Logistics operations in accordance with factory policies & procedures and quality and safety standards.
• Optimizing the layout and space utilization of the warehouse to ensure easy accessibility and reduce handling times.
• Develop and implement a variety of operating policies and procedures in cooperation with internal stakeholders to ensure that the unit(s) meets it's current and future production targets, safety and quality standards.
• Managing stock levels to ensure that inventory is accurate and sufficient to meet internal demands. Conducting regular inventory audits and reconciling discrepancies.
• Managing the warehouse budget and controlling costs associated with the storage, handling, and transportation of goods. Identifying areas for cost savings while maintaining high service levels.
• Responsible for executing evaluations of possible investments in technology, equipment, systems, or other assets that will enhance capabilities.
• Responsible for continuous learning, competencies and development orientation. Challenges employees to continuously improve key competencies.
