- Preparation of component level costing for mechanical commodities such as Sheet metal, casting, machining, forging, plastics and complex electromechanical assemblies.
- Perform should-cost analysis, benchmark supplier pricing, and lead cost reduction initiatives through VA/VE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering).
- Optimize procurement processes for Casings, Sheet Metal, Cable & Harness, and High-Level Assembly by improving cost efficiency and delivery timelines.
- Conduct Win/Loss Analysis in collaboration with P&L teams to drive better supplier negotiations and cost optimization.
- Proactively analyse procurement activities to identify and resolve cost, quality, and delivery issues.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard global and local suppliers for raw materials, tools, and indirect buys.
- Issue RFQs (Request for Quotations), conduct comparative price analyses, negotiate contracts, and finalize long-term agreements with suppliers.
- Align category supply chain strategies with overall business requirements, ensuring supplier capability and capacity for current and future needs.
- Ensure supplier selection follows company policies, prioritizing total cost competitiveness, quality, sustainability, and compliance.
- Maintain and enforce standard terms and conditions in purchase contracts as per Motherson Global Sourcing guidelines.
- Work closely with R&D, Category Teams, and Technical Experts to achieve the lowest total product cost without compromising quality or compliance.
- Ensure all procurement activities align with ISO 13485 and FDA guidelines for medical devices.
- Support and influence global purchasing strategies by collaborating with international teams and key stakeholders.
- Lead and support regulatory audits by ensuring procurement compliance with industry standards.
- Monitor and manage program OTD (On-Time Delivery) and deliverables per LDL (Launch Decision Level) requirements.
- Perform supplier risk assessments, audits, and continuous monitoring to ensure adherence to AS9100 (Aerospace) and ISO 13485 (Medical Device) standards.
- Resolve critical component supply chain issues related to procurement cost, quality, and delivery.
- Document and enforce general and special procurement conditions, ensuring compliance with project procurement procedures.

- 10+ years of experience in mechanical component costing, procurement, and supplier management within Aerospace and Medical Device industries.
- Expertise in Sheet Metal, Casting, Machining, Plastics, Cable & Harness, and High-Level Assemblies.
- Strong experience in strategic sourcing, cost modeling, contract negotiation, and supplier development.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, costing tools, and procurement analytics.
- Knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA guidelines, ITAR, DFARS, and AS9100 compliance requirements.
- Proven problem-solving, troubleshooting, and cost reduction expertise.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage global supply chain operations.
- Thorough knowledge & experience of EHS, operational safety, medical device assembly, testing, component manufacturing, qualification process, part traceability & regulatory requirements pertaining to Medical / Healthcare industry.
- Experience in, budgetary discipline, supply chain and project management
- Should have excellent man management skills.
- Focus on program execution and efficiency improvements, electronic commodities, Spend Analysis Report generation, Savings Capturing, supplier financial capability assessment, costing, Negotiations.
- Knowledge in E&O, waterfall charts, FCST vs Demand analysis, lean principles, supplier base of Component manufacturers, Distributors etc.
- An effective communicator with good analytical, leadership, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

- Diploma, BE or BTech. or equivalent Degree.
- Minimum 8- 10 yrs experience in Costing and Supply chain function
