Role & responsibilities BOP Electrical System Design: Oversee the design of electrical systems for BOP, including substations, electrical distribution networks, power control systems, transformers, switchgear, lighting, grounding, and protection systems. Project Planning & Execution: Work closely with the project management team to develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations. Ensure that electrical design work is completed on time and within budget. Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of electrical design engineers in the development of BOP electrical systems. Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment. Design Integration: Ensure the integration of electrical systems with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil, etc.) for smooth project execution. Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with local regulations, industry standards (such as IEEE, IEC), and client specifications. Oversee the preparation of design documents, calculations, and reports for quality control. Coordination & Communication: Act as the main point of contact between clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams for electrical design matters. Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure proper material specifications and delivery. Risk Management: Identify design-related risks and propose mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards during design and implementation. Innovation & Improvement: Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and industry best practices to improve design processes, efficiency, and sustainability of electrical BOP systems. Document & Report Generation: Review and approve design documentation, technical specifications, drawings, and reports. Prepare presentations for senior management and clients. Preferred candidate profile Key Requirements: Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus. Experience: At least 8-10 years of experience in electrical design and engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a E-BoP execution role. Previous experience in BOP or power plant design is highly preferred. Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of electrical systems design, including distribution systems, protection, grounding, and control systems. Familiarity with BOP systems in power generation (thermal, nuclear, renewable) or large infrastructure projects. Software Skills: Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, or similar). Certifications (optional but beneficial): Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent professional engineering certification. Leadership & Communication Skills: Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing and mentoring engineering teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and project stakeholders. Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex and high-pressure situations. Travel: Willingness to travel to project sites as needed. Preferred Qualifications: Industry Knowledge: Experience working in the power generation sector, particularly with large-scale power plants or energy infrastructure projects. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with international electrical standards and codes (e.g., IEEE, IEC, NEC). Sustainability Focus: Experience in designing energy-efficient, sustainable electrical systems and integration of renewable energy sources (e.g., solar, wind
