Alignment Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Alignment Design Engineer to join our team on various railway infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the design and alignment of rail tracks, ensuring safety, functionality, and compliance with industry standards. This role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize design solutions for new rail lines, Doubling, 3rd & 4th line, station construction, and upgrades to existing networks.

Competence

• Design Alignment Planning: Develop and review the horizontal and vertical alignment designs for railway tracks, including considerations for curvature, super elevation, curve calculation and gradients.
• Design Drafting: The candidate should have knowledge of station yard diagrams (ESP) along with expertise in both design and drafting.
• Cross-sectional designs: The candidate should also be familiar with the cross-sectional designs of railway projects, including track layouts, embankments, cuttings, and other related infrastructure elements. This knowledge is crucial for designing and drafting accurate and effective railway project plans
• Geotechnical Analysis: Collaborate with geotechnical engineers to assess the suitability of the terrain and advise on the best track alignment.
• Compliance Standards: The candidate should have knowledge of Indian Railways Standards, specifically IRSOD (Indian Railways Schedule of Dimensions) and IRPWM (Indian Railways Permanent Way Manual). This expertise is essential to ensure that the designs are in complete alignment with the railway's established standards, guaranteeing safety, efficiency, and compliance with Indian Railways' guidelines.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as:
• AutoCAD & C3D
• Client Interaction

Preferred Experience:

• Work experience on Indian Railway or projects.
• Familiarity with IS codes, IRC guidelines, and Railway manuals related to Alignment design and planning.
