Air Fin Cooler - Design

You will be responsible for the complete thermal sizing and engineering of the AIRFIN COOLED HEAT EXCHANGERS to ensure compliance with process requirements, international codes, standards, and relevant customer specifications. Your role will involve coordinating during the engineering phase, both pre-bid and post-bid, within the department and with other disciplines to ensure the successful execution of equipment manufacturing. - Review client specifications, understand the scope of work, technical requirements, and criticalities - Carry out thermal design at the proposal stage to meet specification requirements and provide necessary information to estimation/engineering - Optimize designs for performance, reliability, and cost while adhering to project specifications and standards - Design configurations using Xace and Xvib, including selection of number of bays and bundles - Work on fan and motor selection based on client specifications with optimized sizing and costing - Have basic knowledge of electrical and instrumentation requirements - Calculate thickness of header boxes, nozzles, and other components - Complete structural design requirements for the equipment - Coordinate with clients to resolve technical queries - Ensure timely closure of engineering, procurement, and fabrication queries - Obtain necessary statutory approvals on time - Coordinate with clients for approvals, deviations, and other requirements - Maintain internal progress of deliverables and approval status - Maintain thorough design documentation and prepare technical presentations - Ensure adherence to project schedules without delays - Contribute to departmental work instructions, Kaizen requirements, and departmental development - Travel domestically and internationally for client meetings as required - Demonstrate strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills - Education: Bachelor's in Engineering/Technology, specifically in Chemical Engineering or Petrochemical Engineering - Experience: 8+ years in the key responsibilities mentioned, working in the manufacturing unit of process equipment Good and proficient knowledge of ASME, TEMA, API, IBR codes and standards. Good and proficient knowledge of software/applications such as HTRI, Xace, Xvib, HTRI Optimiser, Inventor/AutoCAD, PVELITE, FEA, MS Office, ERP, and PDMS systems.,
