AI/ML Backend Developer

Location: Kolkata (Onsite)

Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Monday to Friday)

Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled AI/ML Backend Developer to join our onsite development team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable backend systems, integrating machine learning models, managing data pipelines, and supporting AI-driven application development.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, optimize, and maintain backend applications supporting AI/ML workflows.

- Integrate machine learning models into production-ready backend systems.

- Build and manage RESTful & GraphQL APIs for data processing and model serving.

- Create and maintain ETL pipelines, data ingestion flows, and model deployment frameworks.

- Collaborate with data scientists to translate ML prototypes into scalable solutions.

- Work with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) to deploy and monitor applications.

- Ensure high performance, security, and reliability of backend systems.

- Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues, optimize performance, and improve system stability.

Required Skills & Technologies

Programming & Backend

- Strong proficiency in Python (mandatory)

- Experience with FastAPI / Flask / Django

- Experience with microservices architecture

- Proficiency in SQL & NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)

AI/ML Integration

- Familiarity with ML frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn

- Experience deploying ML models using Docker, REST endpoints, model registries, and ONNX (optional)

Cloud & DevOps

- Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP

- CI/CD exposure: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI

- Docker, Kubernetes (added advantage)

Other Skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Good understanding of software architecture patterns

- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams

- Excellent communication and documentation skills

Education

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Additional Skills

- Knowledge of LLM integrations, vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate)

- Experience with NLP pipelines, RAG systems

- Understanding of MLOps frameworks like MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow
