AI/ML Backend Developer

As an AI/ML Backend Developer, your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining REST APIs using Python to seamlessly integrate AI/ML services. You will be tasked with orchestrating AI agents capable of reasoning and executing multi-step tasks by integrating large language models (LLMs) with APIs, tools, and data sources. Additionally, you will implement and manage machine learning models, LLMs, and AI workflows using Python. Your expertise in Generative AI solutions will be utilized for tasks like text generation, summarization, conversational AI, and content creation. Moreover, you will work with various databases including structured (SQL), graph (e.g., CosmosDB), and unstructured data stores (e.g., Elasticsearch). You will be responsible for building retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines leveraging Azure AI Search, AWS OpenSearch, or other vector databases for contextual responses. Designing and managing robust data ingestion and transformation pipelines to feed AI models will also be a key aspect of your role. Furthermore, you will develop or integrate intent detection models and natural language understanding (NLU) solutions to enhance conversational AI. Your tasks will include creating and optimizing prompts for LLMs to enhance response quality and reduce latency. Collaborating with frontend and product teams to embed Gen AI features into enterprise applications will also be part of your responsibilities. The required skills for this role include proficiency in Python for backend development, experience in AI/ML orchestration, expertise in Agentic AI, familiarity with Generative AI models, strong data management skills, and experience with RAG implementation. Hands-on experience with data pipelines, intent detection & NLU, and AI integration is essential. Preferred skills include familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure and AWS, knowledge of additional AI/ML frameworks and tools, understanding of Agentic AI, and experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
