AI Full‑Stack Developer

We are looking for exceptional engineering talent to work in our AI-first engineering team at Hjønnevåg Consulting, an AI-consultancy supporting private-equity firm Cardone Ventures (a 300+ person organization). Apply if you’re bright, learn quickly, and enjoy solving hard problems.

Ship AI-powered web apps used by Cardone Ventures teams and clients in home services in a meritocratic environment where your code speaks loudest. This is an accelerated learning environment where you’ll develop high-value skills faster than in a traditional role.

What you will build

• React/Next.js apps for internal and client-facing use
• Azure Functions for LLM workflows: call scoring, role‑play, lead nurturing
• Postgres schemas, migrations, and performance tuning
• LLM evals, guardrails, tracing/telemetry, and cost controls
• CI/CD pipelines, basic monitoring, and security hardening

Core stack

TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, Postgres, Azure Functions, OpenAI models, LangChain, Tailwind CSS, Git-based CI/CD.

Must‑haves

• 1–5 years building and operating production systems
• Intellectually curious with strong first-principles thinking
• Strong TypeScript, React/Next and Node fundamentals
• SQL and schema design with Postgres

Signals we value

• Shipped products with real users or meaningful open source
• Top‑tier universities (Math, EE, Physics, CS, or similar) or top‑1% equivalent signals
• Have applied AI tools to real-world projects
• Self‑taught skills beyond formal education

How we work

• High trust, async‑first, short design docs
• Rigorous review of AI‑generated code; you must understand every line you ship
• Embedded with private-equity firm Cardone Ventures

Compensation & terms

• $4,000–$5,000 USD/month, paid monthly in arrears.
• Independent contractor, no benefits
• BYOD hardware
• Start ASAP; target late‑October
