Key Responsibility:
Establishing and enforcing quality benchmarks for materials, processes final construction.
Quality Management Compliance
- Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee and manage QA/QC functions, including external and internal audits.
- Develop and implement quality control plans, procedures, and assurance strategies.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with applicable government regulations and corporate standards.
Quality Standards Processes
- Establish and implement quality standards for raw materials, construction processes, and finished projects.
- Develop and refine quality control procedures and inspection processes.
- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to ensure adherence to predefined standards.
- Monitor reconciliation of RMC with concurrence of the reporting authority.
- Oversee the implementation of in-process product inspection standards.
- Ensure rework standards by devising effective inspection and testing methodologies.
Team Stakeholder Management
- Lead and manage the QA/QC department, ensuring a motivated and competent team.
- Address and resolve subordinate issues amicably.
- Provide coaching, counseling, and professional development to QA/QC team members.
- Inspire subordinates to align with quality objectives and continuous improvement strategies.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including vendors, clients, and regulatory bodies.
Performance Monitoring Reporting
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of quality reports, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Monitor trends in quality metrics and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Schedule and assign quality assurance tasks to ensure timely execution and compliance.
- Prepare and manage budgets for quality assurance initiatives.
- Review project quality effectiveness and suggest improvements.
Training Continuous Improvement
- Plan and execute training programs for the QA/QC team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Develop and circulate training calendars for ongoing quality development.
- Conduct workshops and technical sessions to keep the team updated with the latest industry practices.
- Plan for continual improvement at projects by imparting training and implementing best practices.
Tender Costing Responsibilities
- Provide QA/QC plans for new tenders and projects.
- Develop cost estimations for QA/QC requirements in tenders.
- Review work methodologies for new items under execution.
- Carry out project visits to ensure quality compliance and suggest improvements.
Vendor Material Quality Management
- Visit and assess vendors for RMC and construction materials.
- Establish quality standards for raw materials in collaboration with suppliers.
- Implement lab testing standards and ensure compliance.
- Review and update laboratory testing equipment requirements.
- Circulate technical literature to relevant stakeholders.
Technical Skills Required
- Expertise in QMS, ISO, and construction quality standards.
- Strong knowledge of RMC reconciliation, mix design, and material specifications.
- Experience in audits, compliance documentation, and material testing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and Primavera.
