AGM/DGM Design Architect

Key Responsibilities

1. Design Management

• Lead the design process from concept to detailed design stage for all projects.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and quality design deliverables.
• Review and approve design drawings (Architectural, Structural, MEP, Landscape, Interiors).
• Provide value engineering inputs to optimize designs for cost efficiency without compromising quality and aesthetics.

2. Project Planning & Coordination

• Develop design briefs in alignment with business plans, market requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Ensure seamless integration of design intent into execution drawings.
• Act as a bridge between project execution, business development, and consultants for clarity on design aspects.
• Conduct regular design coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, and internal teams.

3. Compliance & Approvals

• Ensure adherence to statutory building bye-laws, NBC codes, fire norms, environmental guidelines, and local authority requirements.
• Liaise with government bodies / regulatory authorities for design approvals, clearances, and compliance.

4. Quality & Innovation

• Ensure the highest standards of architectural aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability in designs.
• Introduce innovative design concepts, materials, and technologies (Green Building norms, IGBC/LEED standards, smart designs).
• Conduct design audits to maintain quality control.

5. Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor a team of design managers/engineers.
• Build strong relationships with external architects, consultants, and vendors.
• Develop SOPs, design guidelines, and best practices for the organization.

• Timely delivery of design packages for ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Cost-optimized, aesthetically superior, and market-aligned designs.
• Securing design-related statutory approvals in time.
• Effective consultant and stakeholder management.

Qualifications & Experience

• B.Arch / M.Arch from reputed institute.
• 1218 years of experience in design management for real estate developers (residential, commercial, township projects).
• Strong exposure to end-to-end design lifecycle, statutory approvals, and coordination with consultants.
• Experience with large-scale projects is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, BIM tools, MS Office, etc.
