Job Description – AGM / GM (Mechanical Maintenance – ERW Plant)

Location: Gandhidham, Gujarat

Salary: ₹22 Lakh per annum (Negotiable based on experience)
Position: AGM / GM – Mechanical Maintenance (ERW Pipe Division)
Experience Required: Minimum 15 years

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the mechanical maintenance department of the ERW Pipe Mill and associated utility systems.
• Ensure maximum uptime of production equipment by planning and executing preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.
• Monitor daily maintenance activities, allocate manpower, and ensure compliance with safety and maintenance SOPs.
• Responsible for maintenance of mechanical equipment — mill stands, slitting line, hydro tester, galvanizing line, cranes, compressors, and utilities.
• Coordinate with the production, electrical, and instrumentation teams for smooth plant operations.
• Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Oversee spare parts inventory, vendor development, and maintenance cost control.
• Review AMC contracts, vendor performance, and prepare maintenance budgets.
• Train and mentor maintenance team members for technical skill development.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management review.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience: 15+ years in mechanical maintenance (preferably in ERW pipe / steel / heavy fabrication industry)
• Skills Required:
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics
• Experience in TPM, preventive maintenance, and root cause analysis
• Hands-on experience in erection and commissioning of process equipment
• Good leadership, analytical, and communication skills

Reporting To: Director / Head – Operations

CTC Offered: ₹22 Lakh per annum (negotiable as per experience)
