Description
Lead the development and implementation of fire safety strategies, emergency response systems, and safety protocols across all residential, commercial, and construction projects. Ensure strict compliance with National Building Code (NBC), fire safety norms, and local statutory regulations. Oversee inspection, testing, and maintenance of all fire protection systems including fire alarms, hydrants, sprinklers, extinguishers, and emergency exits. Coordinate with consultants, vendors, and government authorities (Fire Dept., etc.) for NOC, approvals, and certifications. Plan and conduct regular fire drills, mock evacuation exercises, and safety awareness programs for employees, residents, and construction staff. Investigate fire incidents or safety breaches, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive/corrective measures. Maintain complete records of safety audits, inspection reports, training logs, and equipment certifications. Lead a team of fire officers, safety supervisors, and site safety personnel, ensuring adherence to SOPs and company safety culture. Review site-specific fire & safety risks and prepare mitigation plans in coordination with project, facility, and HR teams.
