We have been mandated by a large conglomerate into iron & Steel for the below mentioned position.

Position Name : AGM -DRI - - Mechanical ( Project & Maintenance )

Location : Jamshedpur

Qualification : B-Tech /Diploma - Mechanical

Experience : 15+Years

Position Overview:

The incumbent will lead the Mechanical project & Maintenance function for the DRI (Direct Reduced Iron) plant of 2 * 500 TPD , with a strong focus on plant project and Maintenance .

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management:

• Plan, execute, and monitor new projects, plant expansions, and equipment upgrades in the DRI unit.
• Prepare project budgets, timelines, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, OEMs, and internal teams for smooth project execution.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards during all project phases.
• Track project progress against schedules and take corrective actions to meet deadlines.

2. Maintenance Management:

• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance schedules for DRI equipment (kilns, coolers, WHRB, conveyors, blowers, compressors, etc.).
• Ensure minimum downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, and availability.
• Optimize spare parts inventory and liaise with the procurement team for critical spares.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions for recurring issues.

3. Technical & Operational Support:

• Provide technical guidance to the operations team for smooth running of the DRI plant.
• Support energy optimization and cost reduction initiatives.
• Evaluate and implement latest technologies to enhance productivity and efficiency.

4. Team Management & Training:

• Lead and mentor the maintenance & project team for skill enhancement.
• Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

5. Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure adherence to statutory norms, ISO standards, and corporate EHS policies.
• Drive safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard mitigation in project and maintenance activities
