Job Description

Job Title: Overseas Education Counsellor

Primary Objective:

To guide and assist students in selecting appropriate study destinations, courses, and institutions abroad, while supporting them throughout the admission and visa application process.

Key Responsibilities:1. Student Counselling & Guidance

  • Provide accurate information to students and parents about study options in countries such as the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe.
  • Assess students’ academic background, financial status, and career goals to recommend suitable courses and universities.
  • Guide students through the complete application process — from university selection to offer acceptance.
  • Conduct one-on-one and group counselling sessions to help students make informed decisions.

2. Application & Admission Process

  • Assist students in preparing and reviewing application documents (SOPs, LORs, essays, portfolios, resumes, etc.).
  • Coordinate with universities for application submissions, offer letters, and admissions updates.
  • Ensure timely follow-up with students to meet admission and document deadlines.
  • Maintain strong relationships with partner universities and admissions teams.

3. Visa Guidance & Documentation

  • Advise students on visa requirements, financial documentation, and interview preparation.
  • Assist in compiling and reviewing visa application documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Stay updated with changes in immigration and visa policies for various countries.

4. Pre-departure & Post-admission Support

  • Organize pre-departure briefings to prepare students for studying and living abroad.
  • Offer guidance on accommodation, travel arrangements, insurance, and cultural adaptation.
  • Provide post-arrival support when necessary (orientation, issue resolution, etc.).

5. Relationship Management

  • Maintain regular communication with students, parents, and institutional representatives.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with universities, colleges, and embassies.
  • Represent the organization at education fairs, school visits, and promotional events.

6. Reporting & Administration

  • Maintain an updated database of student interactions, applications, and outcomes.
  • Track and report student progress, conversion ratios, and other key metrics to management.
  • Adhere to company policies and ethical standards in providing advice and handling confidential information.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of international education systems and admission processes.
  • Attention to detail with good organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, MS Office, and online application portals.
  • Empathetic and student-centered approach.
  • Ability to meet targets and work effectively in a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
