Admission Counsellor

We are seeking a motivated and personable **Admission Counselor** to join our dynamic team. As an Admission Counselor, you will play a key role in guiding prospective students through the admissions process, helping them understand the opportunities and benefits of attending our institution. You will work closely with students, families, and high school counselors to provide information, answer questions, and assist in the application process. This role requires exceptional communication skills, a passion for education, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* **Recruitment & Outreach:** Engage with prospective students through various channels (in-person, phone, email, and social media) to provide information about the institution’s programs, campus life, and admissions requirements.

* **Application Support:** Assist students with the admissions process, including application completion, financial aid, scholarship opportunities, and any other inquiries related to their college application journey.

* **Advising:** Provide guidance and personalized advice to students and families to help them make informed decisions about their higher education choices.

* **Campus Events:** Participate in or coordinate campus visits, tours, college fairs, webinars, and other recruitment events to promote the institution.

* **Evaluation:** Review applications and student materials to assess academic qualifications and determine admissions decisions.

* **Relationship Building:** Develop and maintain strong relationships with high school counselors, community organizations, and other external partners to ensure effective recruitment strategies and outreach efforts.

* **Data Management:** Maintain accurate records of prospective students, track communications, and report on recruitment metrics and goals.

**Qualifications:**

* Bachelor’s degree in education, communications, or a related field.

* 2+ years of experience in higher education, admissions, or a customer service-oriented role (preferred).

* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to a diverse student population.

* Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.

* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

* A passion for higher education and helping students navigate their college journey.

* Comfort with using admissions software, databases, and social media platforms.
