Job Description

An Acquisition Manager for home loans isresponsible for acquiring new customers for home loans through various channels, such as direct outreach, channel partners, and referrals. Key duties include generating leads, managing customer relationships, ensuring all loan documentation and compliance standards are met, and coordinating with internal teams like credit and operations. The role requires achieving sales targets and providing excellent customer service throughout the loan application process until disbursement.

Core responsibilities

  • Customer and lead generation:

    Proactively source new leads through direct sales, cold calling, referrals from existing customers, and managing relationships with channel partners like DSAs.
  • Sales and target achievement:

    Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets for home loan products.
  • Customer relationship management:

    Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, guiding them through the process and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Documentation and compliance:

    Assist customers with the loan application process, ensure all necessary documentation is collected accurately, and adhere to company KYC and other compliance guidelines.
  • Internal coordination:

    Work closely with internal teams such as credit, operations, and legal departments to ensure the smooth and timely processing of loan applications.
  • Product knowledge:

    Stay updated on home loan products, features, and market trends to effectively advise customers.
  • Cross-selling:

    Cross-sell other relevant bank products, such as insurance or other loan types, to new and existing customers.
  • Reporting:

    Prepare and submit sales reports (MIS) to supervisors.

Qualifications and skills

  • Education:

    A bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is often preferred.
  • Experience:

    Prior experience in sales, preferably in home loans or the financial services industry, is highly beneficial.
  • Skills:

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems to log customer interactions and manage sales pipelines.
  • Knowledge of financial institution procedures and policies.
  • Project management and organizational skills.
