Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial services and be proficient in various accounting software, including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting and effective financial management within the organisation.

Duties

• Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports in accordance with established guidelines.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
• Conduct financial accounting tasks, including reconciliations and audits.
• Utilise accounting software to track financial transactions and generate reports.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
• Mentor junior staff members, providing guidance on best practices in accounting and financial management.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data is available for analysis.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards to ensure compliance.

Experience

• Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role within the financial services industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft is essential.
• Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
