Job Description

Role Summary

The Accounts Executive will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting functions, banking activities, stock-market related accounting, and support tasks linked to investment operations. The role involves maintaining accurate books of accounts in Tally, managing cash and bank activities, tracking broker transactions, preparing financial documentation, and ensuring smooth execution of IPO-related processes.
This position requires strong attention to detail, discipline in daily updates, and the ability to work with both accounting data and market-related transactions.

Key Responsibilities

A. Bank Related Activities

  • Record all bank entries in Tally on a daily basis
  • Update passbook weekly and maintain cheque register
  • Prepare daily bank position and cash flow updates
  • Manage petty cash and ensure proper documentation
  • Prepare broker pay-ins, cheques, and coordinate with banks
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliation
  • Track broker pay-in/payout requirements on a daily basis

B. Stock Market Related Activities

  • Record broker bills, including Equity & F&O entries
  • Update daily balance with brokers
  • Review and maintain back-office emails for contract notes
  • Update:
  • Stock valuation charts
  • Share details chart
  • Daily share transaction sheet
  • Weekly stock valuation chart
  • MoneyControl trackers
  • Post journal entries for short-term & long-term trading P&L
  • Prepare monthly ledger holdings of broker accounts

C. Book-Keeping Activities (Including Tally)

  • Pass Journal Vouchers (JVs) for monthly expenses
  • Prepare and verify vouchers for payments/receipts
  • Issue debit notes (rent, electricity, reimbursements)
  • Prepare sales invoices (consultancy, commodity sales) – including e-invoice where required
  • Record purchase invoices in Tally
  • Maintain physical file documentation
  • Prepare monthly stock reports (non-market inventory)

D. IPO Related Work

  • Fill IPO application forms (digital/physical)
  • Track IPO allotments and maintain working records
  • Update IPO investment details and documentation

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance
  • 1–4 years of experience in accounting or financial operations
  • Hands-on experience with Tally ERP (mandatory)
  • Experience with broker accounting, market entries, or investment operations is an added advantage
  • Basic understanding of banking procedures and financial documentation

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Tally and MS Excel
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work with market-related entries (broker bills, F&O, valuations)
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and journal entry passing
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet timelines
  • Comfortable handling multi-tasking across accounting and investment operations
  • Good communication skills and discipline in daily reporting

Additional Preferences (Good to Have)

  • Experience in a family office, investment firm, or trading environment
  • Familiarity with bank portals, broker back-office systems
  • Knowledge of GST basics, TDS deduction entries, and reconciliation

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Lokhandwala, Mumbai, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
