Accounting Specialist

As an Accounting Specialist in Canada, you will be involved in various tasks including: - Analysis and reconciliations of accounting procedures. - Monthly reporting and analysis of expenses, travel habits, greenhouse gases, etc. - Explanation of results by types of expenses, departments, etc. - Identification of opportunities to reduce travel costs. - Reconciliations between different IT systems for GL accounts. - Ensuring internal policy compliance through internal controls. You will also: - Collaborate with internal and external audit teams. - Participate in continuous improvement of operational and financial processes. - Be involved in the implementation of a new expense management tool. - Work with various parties to represent the company. Qualifications required for this role include: - University degree in accounting & Professional designation. - 5 years of relevant experience. - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word). - Knowledge of PowerBi/PowerQuery and Oracle (an asset). - Experience with an expense management tool. - Autonomous, proactive, and agile. - Written and spoken bilingualism for regular interaction with colleagues across the country.
