Job Title: Accountant Spanish

Job Overview: We are seeking a qualified accountant with a solid understanding of financial accounting, preferably with some experience in the property and real estate sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monthly management accounts preparation, collaborating with teams across various functions, and providing insights into financial variances. While experience in real estate is beneficial, it is not essential. A proactive and detail-oriented approach to financial analysis and reporting is key to success in this role

Role & responsibilities

• Monthly Management Accounts Preparation:
• Preparation and review of the monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet for multiple properties.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in the financial statements, in line with company accounting policies and procedures.
• Business Partnering & Stakeholder Communication:
• Collaborate with Finance Managers in the UK and Operations teams ensure the accuracy of monthly management accounts.
• Analyze financial results and variances, providing detailed explanations and addressing queries enhance business understanding.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams clarify discrepancies and improve financial reporting processes.

VAT Returns:

• Prepare and review VAT returns for the properties in compliance with local tax regulations.
• Property-Focused Financial Analysis:
• Support the financial management of a portfolio properties, including a new fund with four properties and a Spanish property.
• Work closely with local teams ensure that all financial and operational aspects are accurately reflected in the financial accounts.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in property or real estate accounting is preferred, but not a requirement.

Language Skills:

• Spanish proficiency B2 level.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, P&L, Balance Sheets, and VAT returns.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
