Role & responsibilities

SMSF - Accountant / Senior Accountant

• End-to-end SMSF compliance, accounting & tax return preparation
• Managing financial statements and annual returns
• Liaising with auditors, clients, and the ATO
• Using Class Super, BGL, or similar SMSF software
• Staying up to date with SMSF legislation and regulatory changes

BCS - Accountant / Senior Accountant

• Prepare and review complex financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss reports, and cash flow statements.
• Lead month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes, including accruals, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Oversee tax compliance activities including BAS, IAS, FBT, and income tax returns.
• Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support client decision-making and business improvement.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Supervise and mentor junior accountants, reviewing their work and fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Support external audits and liaise with auditors to ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience:

• 27 years in SMSF Accounting / BCS Accounting
• Strong background in Australian accounting standards and compliance & Australian taxation
• Hands-on experience with

  BGL360

  ,

  Class Super

  , or similar SMSF software
• Exposure to BAS, IAS, FBT, and income tax returns for BCS role

Qualifications:

• CA / CPA qualified

  or pursuing
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in

  Accounting / Finance / Commerce

Skills:

• End-to-end SMSF compliance and tax return preparation
• Financial statement preparation and review
• Audit coordination and regulatory compliance
• Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to mentor junior accountants and work in a collaborative environment

Location:

• Bangalore, Chennai & Hyderabad (Work from Office)
