Accountant (Male)

• Our School is seeking a dedicated Accountant (Residential staff preferred) to oversee financial operations, compliance, and reporting in alignment with institutional values and operational goals. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on proficiency in Tally ERP, demonstrate high standards of accuracy and integrity, and contribute to strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions using Tally ERP
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Compute taxes and file returns as per statutory norms
• Prepare and analyze:
• Cash Flow Statements
• Balance Sheets
• Profit & Loss Accounts
• Maintain financial records and support audit procedures
• Monitor and enforce financial compliance procedures
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Handle invoice processing, journal entries, and ledger maintenance
• Coordinate with vendors, banks, and consultants for financial matters
• Ensure timely monthly and year-end closings
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial data
• Evaluate accounting software and suggest improvements
• Provide financial insights for cost control and revenue enhancement

Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent
• 2–3 years experience in accounting (school/institutional experience preferred)
• Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and accounting software
• Strong understanding of Indian taxation laws, PF, GST, and TDS
• Familiarity with audit preparation, compliance, and financial documentation
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ethical conduct and attention to detail
