Accountant (Jewellery Industry)

A jewellery accountant manages the financial records and transactions of a jewellery business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient financial operations. Their responsibilities include tracking inventory, managing accounts, preparing financial statements, and handling taxes. Essentially, they bridge the gap between the creative aspects of the jewellery business and its financial health. Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management:Maintaining detailed records of gold, silver, diamonds, and other materials, including tracking raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
• Accounting Transactions:Recording sales, purchases, cash flow, and other financial transactions related to the business.
• Financial Reporting:Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Tax Compliance:Ensuring compliance with all relevant tax regulations, including GST, TDS, and income tax.
• Account Reconciliation:Reconciling bank statements and other financial records to ensure accuracy.
• Budgeting and Forecasting:Assisting with the development and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Internal Controls:Implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard valuable assets.
• Client and Vendor Management:Handling accounts payable and receivable, managing payment cycles, and communicating with clients and vendors.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong Accounting Knowledge: Proficiency in accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
• Financial Reporting: Experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements.
• Inventory Management: Experience in tracking and managing inventory, particularly within the jewellery industry.
• Tax and Compliance: Knowledge of tax laws and regulations relevant to the jewellery business.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and solve problems.
• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software: Experience with Tally, SAP, or other relevant accounting software.
• Attention to Detail: Accuracy and meticulousness in handling financial records and transactions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
