Job Title: Accountant Location: Siliguri Department: Accounts / Finance Reports To: Senior Accountant / Finance Manager / Director Experience: Minimum 2–4 years in a similar role Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / MBA in Finance Salary: Negotiable Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and support day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards. Key Responsibilities: Handle day-to-day accounting entries including purchases, sales, receipts, payments, and journal entries. Prepare and maintain ledgers, trial balance, and other financial statements. Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor and customer reconciliation. Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings. Prepare GST returns, TDS filings, and other statutory compliances. Maintain proper documentation for all accounting transactions. Support internal and external audits. Coordinate with banks, vendors, and internal departments as needed. Ensure timely and accurate data entry in accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP). Key Skills: Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and accounting software Sound knowledge of GST, TDS, and other Indian taxation rules Strong numerical and analytical skills Good communication and documentation abilities Ability to work independently and manage deadlines Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month Benefits: Leave encashment Schedule: Day shift Work Location: In person
