Job Summary:

Accounts Team Leader

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Supervision:

  Lead, mentor, and review the work of junior accountants and executives.

• Finalization of Books:

  Oversee and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

• Client Management:

  Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients; resolve escalations, ensure timely communication and deliverables.

• Workflow & Deadline Management:

  Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines are met.

• Quality Control:

  Conduct internal reviews and ensure accuracy and compliance in all bookkeeping and reporting.

• Training & Development:

  Support ongoing training for junior staff and ensure knowledge of updated US accounting standards.

• Compliance:

  Ensure proper tax filings, payroll processing, and sales tax compliance with the help of internal and external teams.

• Process Improvement:

  Identify inefficiencies in current processes and suggest automation or best practices.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on knowledge of

  QuickBooks Online/Desktop

  ,

  Xero

  , and related accounting tools.
• Expertise in

  US GAAP

  ,

  payroll processing

  ,

  sales tax

  , and

  1099/1040/1120 filings

  .
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong understanding of client confidentiality and data protection.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Accounting or Finance
• Certification in US Taxation or QuickBooks (preferred)
• Prior experience working with

  CPA firms or offshore KPOs
