Job Description

Accounts Payable Manager

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage the Accounts Payable team, ensuring efficient invoice processing and vendor payments.
Monitor daily AP operations including invoice verification, approvals, reconciliations, and disbursements.
Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory norms (TDS, GST), and internal controls.
Review vendor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Maintain strong vendor relationships and address payment-related queries professionally.
Coordinate with procurement, stores, and finance teams to streamline invoice and payment workflows.
Prepare monthly AP reports, aging analysis, and cash flow forecasts.
Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation and clarifications.
Identify process gaps and lead automation or efficiency improvements in the AP cycle.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AP processes
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or equivalent)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and vendor handling abilities
Team leadership and mentoring capabilities
High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
