Account Officer

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Account Officer to manage daily accounting operations and ensure compliance with financial regulations. This role requires a professional with a strong grasp of accounting principles, hands-on experience in Tally Prime, and knowledge of statutory and tax audits. The Account Officer will work closely with the Manager of Finance to prepare and submit monthly financial reports and maintain accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations: Manage accounts payable and receivable, process invoices and payments, and oversee day-to-day accounting tasks.

Reconciliations: Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial data.

Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements and submit monthly MIS to the Manager of Finance.

Invoicing & Sales Accounting: Prepare and raise sales invoices, account for sales, debtors, debit notes, and credit notes.

Tax Compliance: Oversee GST, TDS, and TCS processes and ensure all income tax compliances.

Vendor Management: Book vendor bills in Tally, process vendor payments, and ensure all statutory compliances.

Reconciliations: Handle vendor reconciliation, 26AS reconciliation, customer reconciliation, debit and credit notes.

Accounts Receivable: Manage accounts receivables and monitor outstanding invoices.

Statutory Knowledge: Maintain proficiency in TDS/TCS, GST workings, reconciliations, and e-way bill rules.

Auditing Support: Prepare for and participate in statutory and tax audits as required.

Requirements

Preferred candidate profile

Semi-Qualified CA/CMA preferred

M.Com,B Com or MBA candidates with 5-6 years of relevant experience will also be considered

Proficiency in Tally Prime and accounting software.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
