Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, petty cash expense and payroll processing.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity.
Prepare weekly, fortnightly, monthly statements and reports.
Collaborate with school management to create and manage budgets.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations.
Ensure compliance with relevant statutory compliances like PF/ESIC/Gratuity/TDS and reporting requirements.
Assist with the preparation for audits and liaise with auditors as necessary.
Perform administrative tasks related to finance and accounting as needed.
Maintain confidentiality and security of financial and administrative data.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance with experience in a mid-size organisation.
Proven experience of over 5 years as an accountant.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
Knowledge of Tally is must and some ERP will be additional advantage.
Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
