Role Summary & Key Objectives

We are seeking an experienced Accountant with expertise in managing day-to-day accounting operations, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. The role involves handling books of accounts, GST/TDS compliance, reconciliations, and assisting in audits. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, process-driven, and capable of ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in all financial activities.

Core Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping & General Accounting Maintain accurate books of accounts, journal entries, and ledgers.
• Reconciliation Prepare and verify bank reconciliation statements, vendor/supplier reconciliations, and inter-company accounts.
• Compliance Management Handle GST, TDS, PF, ESI filings, and ensure adherence to statutory requirements.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable Process vendor invoices, manage outstanding receivables, and ensure timely payments.
• Financial Reporting Assist in preparing MIS reports, trial balances, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements.
• Audit Support Coordinate with auditors, prepare audit schedules, and ensure accuracy of audit documentation.
• Process Improvement Identify gaps in accounting processes and suggest automation or efficiency improvements.

Must-Have Skills

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Tally ERP, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or other accounting software.
• Good understanding of GST, TDS, and statutory compliances.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas).
• Knowledge of finalization of accounts and preparation of financial statements.
• Knowledge of payroll processing.

Experience Requirements

• 2 to 7 years of hands-on accounting experience.
• Proven track record in GST/TDS filings, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
• Experience working in a 6-day office environment will be an added advantage.

• Accuracy of Accounts: Minimal errors in books, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Compliance Timeliness: On-time GST/TDS filing, tax returns, and other statutory submissions.
• Audit Readiness: Timely and accurate audit documentation with minimal auditor queries.
• Payment Cycle Efficiency: Vendor and customer payments processed on schedule.
• Reporting Accuracy: Timely submission of MIS, P&L, and balance sheet reports with high accuracy.
• Process Efficiency: Contribution to streamlining accounting processes and reducing manual errors.
