BAIF Institute for Sustainable Livelihoods and Development (BAIF Livelihoods) is a non-profit organization established on April 16th, 2012 and registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act. Closely linked with the BAIF Development Research Foundation founded in 1967, BAIF Livelihoods aims to create self-employment opportunities for rural families, particularly the disadvantaged. The organization's mission includes promoting sustainable livelihoods, enriching the environment, enhancing the quality of life, and instilling good human values across rural communities. BAIF Livelihoods operates in 33 districts of Madhya Pradesh with a focus on livestock, land, and natural resource management, impacting over 61,000 families across 6805 villages.

Role Description

This full-time on-site role, located in Pune, is for an Account Assistant. The Account Assistant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial tasks, including credit control, handling petty cash, and performing various finance-related duties. The role requires regular communication with the finance team and support in maintaining accurate accounting records.

Qualifications

Credit Control and Petty Cash management skills
Proficiency in Finance and Accounting
Good Communication skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work well within a team
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is beneficial
Experience in rural development or non-profit sector is a plus
