Role Overview: We are looking for a proactive and empathetic Academic Counselor to join our Kochi office. The counselor will play a key role in guiding students through their academic journey, supporting their career aspirations, and ensuring a positive experience at PrepQ. This is an on-site role based at our MG Road, Ernakulam location. Key Responsibilities: • Provide academic and career counseling to students, helping them understand course offerings, exam preparation strategies, and career outcomes. • Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, ensuring open, transparent, and consistent communication regarding student progress, concerns, and achievements. • Engage in student onboarding and orientation sessions, creating a smooth transition for new students into the PrepQ system. • Monitor and support students’ academic performance and provide timely interventions when necessary. • Collaborate with faculty and administration to design effective student support strategies. • Coordinate facility-related needs such as classroom readiness, infrastructure, and student amenities to ensure a conducive learning environment. • Maintain detailed records of student counseling sessions and follow-ups using internal systems. • Assist in organizing seminars, webinars, workshops, and other academic engagement activities. Qualifications & Skills: • Experience in academic counseling, student support, or education-related roles. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize and build rapport with students and parents. • Demonstrated ability in academic advising, career guidance, and handling parent interactions professionally. • Basic understanding of facility coordination within an academic setup is an added advantage. • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work in a dynamic educational environment Show more Show less
