Academic Counselor

About the Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and student-centric Academic Counselor who can guide prospective students, understand their academic goals, and help them choose the right programs. The role involves counselling, admissions support, follow-ups, and maintaining positive relationships with students and parents.

Key Responsibilities

• Connect with prospective students via calls, walk-ins, emails, and counselling sessions.
• Understand student needs, career interests, and recommend suitable programs/courses.
• Explain program details, admission process, eligibility, fees, and career outcomes.
• Maintain and update student records in CRM/ERP systems.
• Follow up with leads to ensure timely admissions closures.
• Coordinate with the admissions, marketing, and academic teams when needed.
• Participate in university events, open houses, seminars, and counselling drives.
• Assist students during documentation and onboarding.
• Maintain high standards of student satisfaction and provide guidance when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident, empathetic, and student-focused approach.
• Ability to handle counselling conversations professionally.
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, CRM tools).
• Prior experience in EdTech / University counselling is an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
