About The Opportunity
We are hiring on-site night-shift Academic Counselors to join a high-energy student services team. This role focuses on telecounseling, academic advising, and admissions support to ensure prospective and enrolled learners receive timely guidance, course recommendations, and retention-focused follow-up during evening and overnight hours.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality telecounseling to prospective and current students during night shift hours, handling inbound and outbound calls with empathy and clarity.
- Assess learner needs, recommend appropriate courses/programs, and guide applicants through admissions, enrolment, and documentation processes.
- Maintain accurate student records in CRM and SIS; log interactions, update statuses, and escalate leads or issues per SOPs.
- Collaborate with academic teams to coordinate onboarding, scheduling, and follow-up for students at risk of drop-out to improve retention.
- Meet daily/weekly outreach and conversion targets while maintaining service quality and compliance with data-protection guidelines.
- Participate in continuous improvement by sharing feedback on scripts, workflows, and student pain points to optimise night-shift operations.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven experience in academic counseling or telecounseling roles
- Familiarity with CRM and Student Information Systems (SIS) usage
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Workspace for reporting and scheduling
- Comfortable using VoIP telephony systems and call-logging tools
- Strong documentation skills and adherence to data privacy practices
Preferred
- Experience with Salesforce or Zoho CRM
- Experience with Zendesk or similar ticketing systems
- Prior night-shift or customer-facing experience in education services
