About the Role

Academic Counsellor

Key Responsibilities

• Interact with aspiring learners and help them understand suitable programs based on their goals

• Clearly explain course structure, career outcomes, certifications, and program benefits

• Conduct counselling calls and virtual conversations to resolve queries and assist decision-making

• Maintain communication with prospects through scheduled follow-ups

• Ensure smooth enrollment, documentation, and handover of students to the operations team

• Maintain accurate records of conversations, applications, and enrollments

• Meet weekly and monthly counselling & enrollment targets with consistent performance

• Maintain professionalism in communication and represent AI Academia positively

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 0–1 year of experience in academic counselling, sales, customer service, or client interaction roles

• Excellent spoken communication and listening skills

• Ability to understand student needs and recommend relevant programs

• Strong persuasion and objection-handling skills

• Confidence in handling phone calls and guiding learners professionally

• Basic proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel for data management

• Target-driven, disciplined, and student-oriented approach
