Different Art Centre educates and empowers specially abled children with various disabilities -not just intellectual-and expand the focus of training from concentrating on magic to art forms such as music, dance, drama, cinema making, painting and skills in various musical instruments, all blended with a magical touch.

Scientia is a specialized department at the Different Art Centre, focused on nurturing scientific curiosity and imparting foundational principles of science to differently-abled students. By engaging these students in hands-on scientific activities, Scientia aims to promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation among the differently-abled community, encouraging them to explore the world of science with confidence and creativity.

Job description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Academic Mentor to support and guide differently abled students in their academic journey. The ideal candidate will have a passion for inclusive education and experience working with children with diverse learning needs.

Job Responsibility:

• Provide one-on-one and small group academic mentoring to differently abled students.
• Develop individualized learning plans based on students' strengths and areas of improvement.
• Assist in curriculum planning and adaptation to meet the varied needs of students.
• Emphasis on hands-on, practical learning experiences to reinforce theoretical concepts.
• Collaborate with therapists, special educators, and families to ensure holistic support.
• Maintain records of student achievements, challenges, and interventions.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills in inclusive education.
• Teaching Methodology:

The teaching methodology at Scientia is tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals with special needs. Key approaches include:

1. Individualized Learning Plans: Customized learning plans based on the abilities and interests of each participant.

2. Experiential Learning: Emphasis on hands-on, practical learning experiences to reinforce theoretical concepts.

3. Interactive Sessions: Engaging and interactive teaching methods to maintain interest and motivation.

4. Supportive Environment: A nurturing and supportive environment that encourages exploration and experimentation.

Qualification:

Bachelor’s/Master's/Education/Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Robotics.

Prior experience working with differently abled children, especially in an academic or mentoring role.

Proficiency in Malayalam and English.

Commitment to inclusive education and social impact.

Shift : 9.30 to 5.30 pm

Weekly off : Monday

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
