Academic Advisor

Responsibilities:

• Student Guidance – Provide academic counseling to students regarding courses, programs, and career pathways.
• Course Planning – Assist students in selecting subjects, electives, and academic schedules based on interests and requirements.
• Monitoring Progress – Track students’ academic performance, attendance, and progress toward graduation.
• Problem Solving – Address academic difficulties, personal challenges, and help students overcome learning obstacles.
• Career Counseling – Advise students on higher education options, certifications, and future career opportunities.
• Policy Awareness – Ensure students understand academic policies, procedures, and institutional requirements.
• Goal Setting – Help students set realistic academic and career goals and develop action plans to achieve them.
• Resource Referral – Connect students to support services like tutoring, mentoring, or counseling when needed.
• Maintaining Records – Keep accurate documentation of student interactions, progress, and advising sessions.
• Collaboration – Work with faculty, administration, and parents (if required) to support student success.
• Workshops & Seminars – Conduct or participate in sessions on study skills, career readiness, and academic planning.
