2D CAD Design Engineer

Job Profiles - 2D CAD Design Engineer (Solidwork)

Salary - up to 25k

Location - Partapur(Meerut)

Skills - Excellent Knowledge of 2d CAD solidwork

Key Responsibilities:

• Create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings of parts, assemblies, and tooling using SolidWorks
• Interpret technical requirements, sketches, and specifications to develop detailed designs
• Conduct design reviews and collaborate with cross‑functional teams for feedback and improvements
• Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and tolerance stack‑ups to ensure structural integrity and manufacturability
• Generate bills of materials (BOMs), part lists, and cost estimates for new products and revisions
• Prototype, test, and iterate designs; document test results and suggest optimizations
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and internal quality procedures
• Support manufacturing by providing assembly instructions, tooling designs, and troubleshooting support
• Maintain and update drawing libraries, CAD templates, and design documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in SolidWorks for part and assembly modeling
• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Experience with FEA tools (SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS, or equivalent)
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (injection molding, sheet‑metal fabrication, machining, etc.)
• Proficiency in creating clear, production‑ready 2D drawings
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) or Expert (CSWE)
• Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems (e.g., SolidWorks PDM, Windchill)
• Experience with rapid prototyping technologies (3D printing, CNC machining)
• Exposure to materials selection and cost optimization techniques
• Knowledge of other CAD packages (Creo, CATIA, Autodesk Inventor)
