Job Description

Mandatory Skills :

COBOL, CICS, VSAM, JCL, DB2, Production Support

We are seeking an experienced

Mainframe Application Developer (ZOS)

with strong expertise in

production support

and

mainframe technologies

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for resolving job abends, analyzing production issues, and ensuring smooth operations in a high-availability environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle production job abends and incidents promptly and efficiently.
Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams for issue resolution.
Monitor daily production jobs and ensure timely completion.
Participate in shift rotations, including morning shifts (6:30 AM 3:30 PM IST).

Requirements:

Hands-on experience in
COBOL, CICS, VSAM, JCL, and DB2
.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in a production environment.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Willingness to work in rotational shifts.

Good to Have Skills

Experience in Root Cause Analysis and Incident Management
Knowledge of Change and Release Management processes
Exposure to Automation tools or scheduling utilities (e.g., Control-M, CA7)
