Job Description

Teaching and Curriculum Development:

Design and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and laboratory sessions on various zoological topics for both undergraduate and graduate students.
Develop and update course curricula to ensure they are current with the latest scientific discoveries and educational best practices.
Supervise and assess student performance, including grading assignments, exams, and projects.

Research and Publication:

Conduct independent, high-impact research in a specialized area of zoology (e.g., ecology, genetics, animal behavior, conservation biology).
Publish research findings in reputable, peer-reviewed scientific journals and present at national and international conferences.
Secure external funding through grant proposals to support research projects and student research.

Mentorship and Student Guidance:

Advise and mentor both undergraduate and graduate students, guiding them through their academic and research endeavors.
Supervise graduate student theses and dissertations, helping them develop the skills necessary for a career in science.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and scientific inquiry.

Academic and Departmental Service:

Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and administrative tasks related to curriculum planning, student recruitment, and faculty hiring.
Engage in professional outreach and community programs to promote zoological sciences and public understanding of wildlife.
Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary research projects and academic initiatives.
