Job Title: Zonal Sales Manager (ZSM)

Department: Business Development / Admissions

Reporting To: Regional Head / National Sales Head

Role Overview:

The Zonal Sales Manager (ZSM) will be responsible for driving student admissions and achieving enrollment targets across all branches within the assigned zone. The role requires strong leadership, business acumen, and people management skills to guide the team of Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Executives, ensuring smooth execution of the schools sales and marketing strategies while maintaining a strong focus on customer experience and branch-level performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive admissions and revenue targets for all branches within the assigned zone.

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of BDMs, Admission Officers, and Front Desk teams to ensure performance excellence.

Develop and implement zonal business plans aligned with organizational goals.

Monitor daily admissions data, conversion ratios, enquiry handling, and lead follow-ups.

Review performance metrics and ensure timely corrective actions to achieve targets.

Identify high-potential areas for admissions growth and execute localized marketing or outreach initiatives.

Collaborate with Operations, Academics, Marketing, and HR teams for smooth branch coordination.

Conduct regular branch visits to review admission processes, parent experience, and team efficiency.

Track competitor activities and market trends to refine sales strategies.

Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing structures, and approval workflows.

Report weekly and monthly performance updates to the Regional Head.

Qualifications & Experience:

Graduate / Postgraduate degree (MBA preferred)

6–10 years of experience in Sales or Business Development, preferably in the Education / Service / Retail sector

Minimum 2–3 years of experience managing zonal or multi-location teams

Proven track record of achieving sales/admission targets and driving team performance

Work Environment:

Field-intensive role with frequent travel across branches within the assigned zone

Requires close coordination with branch teams, regional heads, and corporate functions
