Job Description

Role Overview:

The Zonal Sales Manager (ZSM) will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing the field team, and expanding business across Tamil Nadu for the diagnostics division. The role involves strategic planning, team leadership, key account management, and ensuring achievement of revenue and profitability targets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for the Tamil Nadu region.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in hospitals, diagnostic centers, and channel partners.
  • Drive product penetration for pathology and diagnostic test portfolios.
  • Ensure consistent growth across all districts through effective territory planning.

2. Team Management

  • Lead and mentor a team of Territory Managers and Area Sales Managers.
  • Set clear targets, monitor performance, and drive productivity.
  • Conduct regular field visits, joint calls, and coaching sessions.
  • Foster teamwork, motivation, and skill development within the sales force.

3. Key Account Management

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, doctors, labs, and institutional clients.
  • Ensure timely collections, renewals, and customer satisfaction.
  • Support tender participation and corporate tie-ups within the region.

4. Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing movements.
  • Provide feedback and insights to marketing and product teams.
  • Execute promotional plans, CME activities, and brand campaigns.

5. Operations & Coordination

  • Work closely with logistics, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and reporting systems.
  • Maintain accuracy in forecasts, sales reporting, and CRM updates.
