Job Description

Essential: B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Electrical Electronics/ Electronics Communication Minimum 60 % marks Desirable: M.E / M. Tech in Control Systems / Power Electronics / Mechatronics and project work related to Electric Vehicle / Hybrid Electric Vehicle. Role: Electric Vehicle Powertrain System Engineer Responsibilities: Understand electrical architecture of HEV/EV Define the system diagram of the EV Powertrain system Define the controller architecture, interfaces (electrical and physical), and functions for powertrain system of EV Define the high level and detailed requirements for powertrain systems and controls for EV, including sizing requirements Develop the powertrain functions and software, including logic development, MIL evaluation, HIL evaluation and vehicle level validation using MBD approach Develop diagnostics for powertrain controllers Implement ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements Functional Testing, System/Component Benchmarking, and database creation Working with stakeholders within the organization and outside (suppliers, consultants) for above development Technical/ Functional: Working experience of automobile powertrain system controls Exposure to Hybrid / Electric powertrain and ECU system control Design, Sizing, Simulation, Development, Verification and Validation. Familiarity with on board diagnostics. Experience in testing at vehicle level Experience of Model Based Design with Matlab Simulink/State flow Experience in testing at controller level (HIL) and vehicle level Exposure to appropriate Regulations and Standards of HEV/EV such as AIS 038, AIS 102, AIS 048 etc. ECU testing, excellent electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills Knowledge of ISO 26262 Behavioral Proactive, excellent in taking initiatives Excellent analytical problem-solving skills Self-Starter Team-player Should be open to posting anywhere as per the job requirement
