Job Description

A Working Capital Relationship Manager at AU Bank is responsible for acquiring and managing a portfolio of clients by providing appropriate working capital solutions like cash credit, term loans, and letters of credit. Key duties include building strong relationships with clients, managing the credit-granting process, and cross-selling additional banking products to grow the portfolio's profitability. The role requires strong financial acumen, sales expertise, and a deep understanding of client businesses to ensure both client satisfaction and portfolio hygiene. Key responsibilities

  • Client Acquisition:

    Source new clients, particularly in the medium enterprise segment (turnover up to 100 Cr).
  • Relationship Management:

    Cultivate and deepen existing client relationships through proactive engagement, regular meetings, and high-caliber service to ensure client trust and satisfaction.
  • Working Capital Solutions:

    Understand client business needs and cash flows to provide suitable fund-based and non-fund-based working capital products, including cash credit, demand loans, buyers' credit, and letters of credit.
  • Portfolio Growth:

    Increase the book size and profitability of the assigned portfolio by identifying opportunities for cross-selling other products like current accounts, term deposits, and transaction banking.
  • Credit and Risk Management:

    Take accountability for the credit-granting process, including credit reviews, assessing creditworthiness, and identifying potential problem accounts early on.
  • Risk Mitigation:

    Formulate and implement appropriate risk-mitigating strategies to manage the portfolio effectively.
  • Market Engagement:

    Build relationships with key client personnel, such as CFOs and promoters, in target segments.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in banking or financial services, with credit experience being a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of various banking products and services, particularly those related to working capital.
  • Proven sales expertise and strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong quantitative skills and attention to detail.
  • Local market knowledge.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to client sites.
