  • Client acquisition and relationship management:

    • Sourcing new clients by generating leads through various channels and identifying potential industrial and trading units.
    • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to understand their business needs and ensure satisfaction.
    • Enhancing existing relationships by cross-selling products like term deposits, transaction banking, and trade finance.
  • Financial and credit management:

    • Analyzing client businesses, cash flows, and financial statements to structure appropriate working capital solutions, such as cash credit, demand loans, and letters of credit.
    • Preparing credit assessment documents (CAM) and conducting due diligence, including site visits and stock statement scrutiny.
    • Ensuring smooth post-sanction processes by liaising with credit, operations, and trade finance teams for disbursement and other formalities.
  • Portfolio monitoring and compliance:

    • Monitoring customer accounts to ensure cash flow and fund utilization comply with sanction stipulations.
    • Maintaining portfolio health, minimizing delinquency, and taking proactive steps to exit stressed accounts.
    • Ensuring timely renewal of insurance, submission of stock statements, and compliance with other credit covenants.
  • Operational coordination:

    • Coordinating with internal departments like credit, operations, and trade desks to resolve client issues.
    • Working with branch teams for customer acquisition and service support.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or economics.
  • Several years of experience in banking, particularly in credit assessment or financial services.
  • Strong analytical and financial analysis skills, including balance sheet analysis.
  • Proficiency in preparing credit proposals and understanding financial statements.
  • Excellent relationship management and cross-selling abilities.
  • Knowledge of working capital products, liability, forex, and trade finance.
