Workday Security Analyst

Avantor is seeking a Workday Analyst with expertise in Workday Security configuration to join our HR Technology team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure access frameworks within Workday to protect sensitive HR data and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The analyst will collaborate with HR, IT, and Compliance teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions that enable business operations while minimizing risk.

The Team

The HR Technology team partners with HR and business leaders across the globe to deliver scalable and innovative solutions that advance the business. As part of this dynamic group, you will focus on Security configuration while also gaining exposure to interconnected systems and modules such as Absence, Advanced Compensation, People Analytics, and ServiceNow HRSD.

What Were Looking For

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience

• 3+ years of Workday configuration experience, with a focus on

  Workday Security

  .
• Hands-on experience creating and maintaining Workday security groups and roles, and assigning domain and business process security.
• Strong understanding of least-privilege access principles and data protection best practices.
• Experience troubleshooting security-related issues, including access errors and process restrictions.
• Ability to partner effectively with IT, HR, and compliance stakeholders.
  

Preferred

• Workday Pro certification in Security.
• Familiarity with audit frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., SOX).
• Experience with integrations that exchange sensitive data with third-party systems.
• Exposure to ServiceNow HRSD or other enterprise security tools.

How You Will Create an Impact

• Design, configure, test, and maintain Workday Security groups and roles to protect data and ensure compliance.
• Partner with HR and IT stakeholders to design scalable access models that align with business and regulatory requirements.
• Perform regular security audits and role reviews to identify and remediate risks.
• Support Workday release management by evaluating and implementing security-related updates.
• Provide subject matter expertise on security impacts to new Workday projects and enhancements.
• Educate and guide HR and IT partners on security best practices.
