Workday Operations and EMEA Payroll Specialist

The Workday Operations and EMEA Payroll Specialist ensures stable, accurate, and compliant HR operations across Workday, with emphasis on Recruiting, Compensation, and Security. The role builds and troubleshoots Workday EIB integrations for mass data loads and downstream interfaces. It supports end-to-end EMEA payroll processes and collaborates closely with payroll vendors, with preference for UKG exposure. The specialist manages HR tickets (ServiceNow), partners with HR, IT, and service providers, and drives continuous improvement while meeting SLAs.

Required Qualifications

• 5-8 years overall HRIS/HR Operations experience with a minimum of 2+ years hands-on Workday operations experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Workday Recruiting, Compensation, and Security modules.
• Proficiency with Workday EIB for building, running, and troubleshooting mass data loads and integrations.
• Practical experience with EMEA payroll processes (multiple countries preferred).
• Preferred experience supporting UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) payroll solutions.
• Expertise with HR ticketing tools such as ServiceNow (or equivalent).
• Demonstrated stakeholder management collaborating with HR, IT, vendors, and business users.
• Experience with data validation, reconciliation, defect resolution, and documentation.
• Ability to prioritize work, manage SLAs, and communicate clearly across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day Workday operations; triage, resolve, and fulfill incidents/requests via ServiceNow while meeting SLAs.
• Configure, test, and support business processes and policies in Workday Recruiting, Compensation, and Security.
• Build, schedule, and troubleshoot EIB integrations; execute mass data loads with robust pre/post-load validations.
• Monitor integration runs, investigate failures, and coordinate with technical teams or vendors for timely resolution.
• Support EMEA payroll cycles (pre-payroll data checks, inputs, approvals, post-payroll reconciliation) and ensure accuracy.
• Liaise with UKG payroll or local payroll vendors; track issues to closure and ensure timely payroll delivery.
• Administer role-based security: access provisioning/deprovisioning, audits, and SoD adherence in Workday.
• Plan and execute UAT/regression testing for Workday changes and releases; document outcomes and change logs.
• Create and maintain SOPs, knowledge base articles, and end-user guidance.
• Track and report operational KPIs/SLAs; perform root-cause analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and manage expectations effectively.
