As the Workday Functional Support Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective configuration, optimisation, and ongoing performance of the Workday platform. In this position you will provide expert functional support across core modules including HCM, Compensation, Talent, and Benefits, while maintaining alignment with global HR operations. Collaborating closely with HR, IT, and international business teams, the specialist drives system enhancements, resolves issues, oversees release testing, and safeguards platform reliability to support strategic workforce initiatives. Please be aware that this role will require someone who is able to cover rotational shifts to cover global business hours for Australia, Asia, UK/EMEA, New Zealand and the Americas.
Key Responsibilities:

- Configure and maintain various Workday modules including Core HCM, Compensation, Talent, and Benefits in alignment with business requirements
- Manage changes to business processes, validation rules, reports, and security groups within Workday
- Support and maintain accurate organizational structure and position management
- Ensure data integrity across all modules by performing routine audits and validations
- Act as the point of contact for HR and operations teams to resolve functional queries and support continuous improvement
- Lead the half-yearly Workday release process, including impact analysis, testing, documentation, and training
- Support HR projects and system enhancements by translating business requirements into functional specifications
- Generate or modify custom and standard Workday reports as needed by HR stakeholders
- Coordinate with global HR and IT teams to ensure system configuration aligns with compliance and operational standards
You'll be perfect for the role if you have:

- Bachelor's degree in information systems, Human Resources, or related field
- 35 years of relevant experience in Workday functional support, preferably in a global HR operations or shared services environment
- Proven experience in configuring and supporting multiple Workday modules
- Familiarity with Workday release cycles, change management, and test planning
- Exposure to security configuration and report development is a plus
- Strong knowledge of Workday modules: HCM, Compensation, Talent, and Benefits
- Hands-on experience with Workday configuration, business processes, and reporting
- Strong knowledge of HR processes across the employee lifecycle if preferred
- Ability to handle confidential data with high integrity and discretion
