Job Summary

Workday Finance SME

Key Responsibilities

Act as the
functional expert
for Workday Financials including
GL, FDM, AP, AR, Banking, Assets, Projects, Procurement, and Expenses
.
Own
Workday FDM design
, including ledger setup, hierarchies, worktags, mapping, allocation rules, and data governance.
Lead
end-to-end configuration
and solutioning across Finance modules.
Conduct requirement workshops, analyze business needs, and translate them into Workday solutions.
Perform gap analysis, impact assessment, and recommend best practices.
Prepare and execute
test scenarios
, SIT, UAT, and manage defect resolution.
Work closely with Integrations and Reporting teams on end-to-end solution delivery.
Support
Workday releases
, new features, optimization, and enhancements.
Provide production support for finance-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
Create and maintain configuration documents, SOPs, and end-user training materials.

Required Skills & Experience

6+ years of experience with
34+ years in Workday Financials
.
Strong hands-on experience in
FDM configuration
: worktags, hierarchies, ledger setup, accounting rules, and reporting structures.
Expertise in Financial Accounting, P2P, O2C, Banking, and Expenses.
Ability to configure business processes, custom reports, validations, and condition rules.
Exposure to integrations (EIB, Cloud Connect, Studio is a plus).
Strong understanding of accounting principles and finance operations.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have

Workday certifications (FDM, Financials, Procurement, Projects).
Phase X deployment experience.
Experience with Prism Analytics or Adaptive Insights.
